Factory Acceptance Testing / Senior Commissioning Manager
To deliver on time and manage all Factory Acceptance Testing and Commissioning activities for all Western Australian project works, which has included the Perth Transport Authority’s Metronet’s Forrestfield Airport Link Project. The RAFA project which was a joint venture with Rio Tinto plc and Ansaldo STS to expand the Rio Tinto rail infrastructure to deliver 355 million tons of iron ore and to deliver the driverless train system known as Auto Haul and also the Roy Hill Signalling and Communication Project.Some of the related tasks required in respect to managing these Projects include:Ensuring the execution of all factory and site testing activities in accordance with the contract, corporate and regulatory requirements.Manage and lead the function testing teams, together with a number of subcontractor companies.Ensure all activities undertaken comply with company OH&S policies and Testing procedures.Scheduling of works to ensure the execution integrates effectively with all project based programs.Interface with management, project leaders, client and third parties during the Factory Testing phase.Prepare Factory Acceptance Testing plans, Commissioning Test plans and supporting instructions as required for all projects.Ensuring that any wayside equipment that has been factory tested is integrated with other sub-systems to allow further testing to take place, i.e. Principles Testing or Communication Testing.Calculating the factory and Commissioning budgets for the tendering process for all projects and adhering to the budget when awarded the contract.Liaison with the client on a day to day basis to deal with their concerns and to support changing site testing activities with matters to do with wayside and On Board Testing.
