Following which he spent 4 years in the NHS and part time physio to Hull Kingston Rovers, whilst completing a post grad year in Pure Biomechanics at Strathclyde University. Within Biomechanics he developed a mathematical model supporting active non contact shoulder dislocation and the mechanism by which previous injuries predispose to recurrent shoulder joint dislocation.May 1988 he joined the Football Association Rehabilitation & Human Performance Centre at Lilleshall, predominantly caring for british professional soccer players, but also international athletes from a variety of sports.Subsequent to the years at the Football Association, an interesting 15 year period followed working as head physiotherapist for Hull RLFC (Rugby League), Scarborough FC, and Hull City AFC (Soccer). In total he has an ongoing 25 years in Rugby League and 15 years in professional soccer. In 2006 he completed a six year spell travelling the world as the Great Britain Rugby League - Physiotherapist.Commencing in 1996, he continues to direct the sports medicine for all age groups of Great Britain Ice Hockey, providing medical support at their annual World Championships. Since 1990 he has been a clinical consultant to Smith & Nephew Healthcare Ltd with a variety of roles including teaching, product design, worldwide education and research. Presenting to various clinical groups, conferences and researchers.Since 1996 he has clinically directed Warners; a health-related & sports rehabilitation center. The company provides physiotherapy and health/wellness screening to many small and large employers in the region.
