My experience was recruited to support a new Siemens facility that was launching a market leading product. This required specialist hands on support in developing Lean Production / Quality systems and the subsequent development of local personnel.The scope of the role encompassed the development and implementation of a Operations business strategy; which subsequently stabilised On Time in Full delivery of the product. The product further developed as the Global lead in Quality via a Zero defect Quality strategy and a launch platform for the expansion of the product in other countries.

I provided operational support; from quality (PPAP) within the supply chain; a resident Engineer with the customer and as a Engineering lead coordinating new product introduction between the design facility in Germany and the local manufacturing facility.

My remit was to implement automotive quality systems and standards within a recently acquired Nacelles casting facility. My role was as a change agent in developing and accelerating a quality culture within the manufacturing environment with the introduction of Quality tools and KPIs, to define priorities and focus cross functional teams with standard problem solving tools.

I was recruited as interim support to manage and structure a facility undergoing UK product consolidation that increased turnover by 30%, combined with several new product launches.

I was responsible for the On time in full delivery of Formula 1 cars. The role required implementing operational practises and standards from other leading industry sectors within motorsport. The objective was reduce overall lead time of design release to manufacture, thus maximising performance on the track.

This position required a full restructuring and consolidation of the business to meet profit plan. The net result was a reduction in operational costs by 40 % and the setting up of accountable business units with single piece flow of the existing product range. A new product introduction process was launched on the latest design releases to optimise product design with manufacturing capabilities. The result enabled new products to be launched On time in full.

My role was implementing Just in Time Automotive facilities supplying OEMs such as Toyota / Land Rover / Ford / BMW and Honda. Within this role i had responsibility for up to 400 personnel covering manufacturing / quality / engineering / logistics / Lean.

I learnt my trade here initially as a Technical apprentice which developed a sound technical engineering background from this high precision, high volume environment. I later diversified into a leadership role to develop my man management skills.
