Benefit broker with over 30 years of corporate benefit experience. I joined Benefit Controls Companies in November 2006 and served as President - Western Division while operating Benefit Controls of Utah, Inc. I also owned/operated Audit Savings, Inc., where we specialized in corporate dependent eligibility audit reviews for large companies. In 2018, I partnered with Banasky Insurance to become one of the state's best benefit agencies in Utah. In 2020, AleraGroup acquired Banasky Insurance. I am a licensed benefit, life and accident agent and work with mid-to-large size companies on their HR/Benefit needs. My professional career began at Ryan’s Restaurant Group, Inc in 1980 where I served as Director of Risk Management and Benefits for 26 years. Ryan’s employed 24,000 employees with one-third enrolled in at least one benefit. I orchestrated several unique programs within the company to help manage medical cost, including the dependent audit review in 2004 which was recognized as one of the first companies in the restaurant industry to successfully complete such a task. Ryan’s was also awarded the prized EBC “Best of Show” award by Business Insurance for producing the nation’s best overall benefit communication materials in 2002.I have been involved in many professional organizations, including SHRM, CRCA (Chain Restaurant Compensation Association) and RIMS. I have also served as a board member with Liberty Federal Credit Union and on Crawford and Company’s National Client Advisory Group for several years. I spoke at the National Benefit Expo Conference on the benefits of migrating EAP Programs into LTD Plans. I also served on the Utah state "Avenue H Exchange" Agent Advisory Board.
