The Executive Director is responsible for the successful leadership and management of the BCPFA per the strategic direction as well as policies and bylaws set by the Board of Directors (Board).• Identify, assess, inform and make recommendations to the Board on internal and external issues that affect the BCPFA.• Identify, assess, inform and make recommendations to the Board on issues identified by various committees.• Foster effective team work through the President between the Board and the Executive Director and between the Executive Director and other staff.• Conduct official correspondence on behalf of the Board in a timely manner.• Maintain and develop the BCPFA's image and reputation, and protect and develop the BCPFA's brand via suitable media and Public Relations activities.• Represent the BCPFA within the football community and develop working relationships with the BCPFA Membership.• Working within the Board's strategic direction, develop and implement strategies for operational management and development to meet agreed organizational performance goals within agreed budgets and timelines.• Dialogue with all stakeholders - both members and nonmembers - to advance the game within BC• Support the growth of the BCPFA, including proper day -t o-day financial oversight of the BCPFA.

The board looks to the Executive Director to provide initiative, leadership, and strategic vision within the organization. - Direct and implement strategic vision for the club.- Ongoing review and development of all programs - from recreation to competitive - to ensure relevance to community and ensure consistency with both GBC and Gymnastics Canada.- Identify and pursue all appropriate revenue sources, fundraising, government grants, and sponsorship opportunities.- Develop and maintain professional liaisons with the community.- Ensure due diligence is carried out in all areas of risk management, as it relates to the organization.- Assess short and long-term financial needs and recommend appropriate courses of action.- Advise, recommend and guide Board of Directors on initiatives and issues, as they relate to operations.- Review policies and procedures to be approved by the Board, in keeping with the overall objectives of the organization.- Develop and review the annual operating budget, and report regularly to the board on the organization’s financial status.- Liaise with the board appointed committees related to fundraising, sponsorship, and events.- Lead, develop, coach, and mentor approximately 40 employees [5 direct reports].- Manage the recruitment, training, staff development, and performance management process for all direct reports and ensure evaluations are carried out on all other staff.
