When discussing his career, comedian Steve Martin wrote in his autobiography, "You will use everything you ever knew." I find that to be true of my own professional journey, which has combined my insatiable appetite for learning, my keen analytical mind, my creative storytelling, and my compassion for people to deliver quantifiable results for all those who I have served. I have spent more than 20 years applying this amalgamation of skills to the legal industry, first as a journalist writing for an audience of general counsel and then as a marketing strategist, where I have led integrated marketing programs for more than a dozen law firms of various sizes and practice areas. Beyond my extensive career in the legal industry, I also have worked in the arts as a producer, performer, and educator, sharing my craft for creative writing and storytelling through scores of live shows and three seasons of my own NPR-affiliate audio drama. I also took a career detour in 2018 and received my masters of science in nursing, where I learned essential skills that have enhanced my abilities as a marketer, including data collection and analysis, prioritization, problem-solving, interdisciplinary teamwork, and staying calm amid immensely stressful situations. Lately, I have been immersing myself in AI and prompt engineering. I have created and refined a variety of prompts that have led to increased efficiencies in my own position, and I plan to continue my education in this area to further enhance my capabilities.
