He has founded bioinformatics and genomics departments in Big Pharma, directed a $15M public-private partnership that first identified over 90% of expressed human genes, founded the Systems Biology efforts of the Huntington's Disease Foundation, and co-founded two open-source software foundations. As an entrepreneur, he founded and led two Venture funded companies and a precision medicine company.Keith is the Executive Chairman of Axiomedix and Ingentium, and the Managing Director of Seneca Creek Research/Seneca Creek Ventures. He is also the CIO of the Open Source Pharma Foundation and a member of the i2b2-tranSMART Foundation. In his past roles, he was Vice President of Systems Biology at the CHDI Foundation, SVP R&D and CSO of Gene Logic, and Founder and Section Head of Genomics and the World-wide Head of Bioinformatics at Bayer Pharmaceuticals.Keith has a PhD in Molecular Genetics, an MS in Genetics, and a BA in Biology & Environmental Studies.
