Directed effective and efficient operations supporting the Club's Transport and Warehouse operation’s needs. Delivered high quality, reliable logistics services that meet all regulatory requirements.KEY ACCOMPLISHMENTS:Successfully launched Lean Six Sigma tools and methodologies for productivity improvements in two pilot programmes, expanding this programme across the division.Identified opportunities to reduce costs, delivered higher productivity, improved quality of products & services, reduced capital cost and risk, and converged with new technology and processes to optimize supply chain efficiency. Delivered savings in excess of HK$ 241 million.Spearheaded the business process transformation of Strategic Supply Chain organization for efficient and effective strategic procurement, commercial & contract management of Consultants and Contractors in support of the Club's Property development & Facilities Management.Reorganised the procurement function from transaction based into strategic supply chain management through introduction of strategic sourcing and category management.Formulated the procurement function to be positioned as a partner to the internal departments with an enhanced as well as more strategic service and value proposition e.g. fostering preferred supplier partnerships, setting up new business processes and development of the new electronic platform.

Supervised the sourcing and delivery of a regional procurement spend of €1 billion in Professional Services (Marketing & Media, Management Consulting), Site Services (Facility Management & Utilities), IT and Telecommunications, Ground Fleet, Network Supplies, Production Equipment and Ground Transportation. Member of the Supplier Boards in the development of major DHL Asia Pacific Investments e.g. Hong Kong Central Asia Hub expansion and the North Asia Hub establishment in Shanghai. Member of the global procurement board of Deutsche Post DHL (DP DHL). Supported the Intra-Asia airfreight sourcing initiative, partnering with the DHL Global Forwarding airfreight teams.KEY ACCOMPLISHMENTS:Headed the procurement teams and activities throughout the Asia Pacific region and ensured internal business partner satisfaction, by understanding and meeting their demands in terms of quality, lower total cost of ownership, service and supplier development.Delivered year on year incremental savings improvements. €8.5 million incremental savings in 2005 to annualized cash savings in excess of €49 million for 2011.Championed the implementation of DP DHL First Choice (aka Lean Six Sigma) tools and methodologies across the Asia Pacific procurement organization.Expertly managed the development of the regional procurement category sourcing strategies. Co-led the regional outsourcing deal for all data, fixed and voice telecommunications spend.Optimised and grew the procurement related external service offering to DP DHL customers. Led and developed the 130 strategic and tactical procurement organization located across Asia Pacific. Produced and deployed a regional eProcurement purchase request to purchase ordering system.

Facilitated new customer development. Generated a practical and efficient development calendar to ensure all parties develop and execute priorities on time. Established service key performance indicators. Created the vendor matrix and the sourcing strategy for the Company’s supply chain.KEY ACCOMPLISHMENTS:Sourced suitably qualified suppliers throughout Asia that meet the criteria of prospective customers at absolute lowest cost & specified quality. Achieved repeatable savings of up to 40% made on customers cost of goods.Handled US$100 million of revenue from the existing customer business. Controlled annual operating budgets and long range financial plans and forecasts.

Hong Kong & Usa

Proactively involved in the establishment of regional offices to support the strategic growth of the sourcing opportunities in the western hemisphere as well as research, development and deployment of a quality assurance program for in excess of 1,000 independent international manufacturing facilities supplying the apparel and intimate businesses. Worked with the production and sourcing teams of the business units to align our regional offices with the program priorities. Served as a project team member in the continued development of the Corporation’s Country of Origin and Labor Standards compliance programs.KEY ACCOMPLISHMENTS:Established and managed regional offices in Columbus, Mexico and Brazil along with Technical services support in the Western Hemisphere. Formulated production-tracking systems to effectively monitor delivery schedules.Promptly eliminated any post-production issues by proactively monitoring the information flow and quality of the technical information being passed to the factories.Continually researched/sourced new factories in country that could meet the brand quality, pricing and delivery demands of our business units.Reduced the defect rate at Express distribution center from 8.5% to 3.4% within 18 months and ensured on time deliveries by leading a project team to develop a certified factory base, vendor scorecards, issue standards, and partner in the engineering of quality processes at these factories.Analysed the effectiveness of the Distribution Centers incoming shipment inspection plans and established more effective sampling plans and reporting protocols across many of the distribution centers and field audit teams.DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS, HONG KONG (1997 – 1999)
