Worked onsite and remotely on a development team with members in varying locations on projects, supporting a billing system on a large contract with the AT&T telecom giant. The development was done in a batch environment utilizing a sophisticated technical architecture. Participated in the design, construction and test development phases using both Waterfall and Agile development methodologies. The development was done with COBOL and JCL accessing DB2, QSAM and VSAM data stores. Supported an application system conversion from a z/OS mainframe/Cobol environment to a Linux/Java environment in 2018. Post conversion development was done with Java and Bash scripts using Eclipse, GIT accessing DB2, and SQLite in a Red Hat Linux environment.

Worked on numerous projects to develop insurance systems for a prominent insurance company supporting their automobile, fire and life insurance lines. The development was done with a Product Model Management Tool (PMMT) which is a web based application development tool that generates Java and PL/I code. Worked to develop, test and implement product models. Also, participated in on-call support and trained other analysts to use the product model tool.

Worked on multiple projects including a project to extract data for commercial, homeowner and automobile insurance policies from the ALPS insurance application for reporting purposes. The development was done with COBOL and JCL accessing QSAM and VSAM data stores.

Worked on multiple projects supporting the InvestOne investment accounting application in a batch environment in the construction, test and implementation development phases using the Fidelity Systems Delivery Methodology (FSDM). The projects had very high visibility and were time-critical. The development was done with COBOL and JCL accessing QSAM and VSAM data stores.

Worked on many projects within Card Production Systems in batch and online (CICS) environments in all development phases: analysis, design, construction, test and implementation using structured development methodologies and deliverables. The projects varied from small to large in size, ranging from a few components to hundreds of components, and were constructed using COBOL, SQL and JCL, accessing QSAM, VSAM and DB2 data stores and implemented using a release management approach. Most of these development projects supported bank-wide revenue initiatives and were implemented with aggressive deadlines.
