Launched the tech that runs the Content division of the NBA; systems include: delivery of all NBA content worldwide, Replay, Player Tracking, Digital Media, Stats, & others.• Designed the Statistics System. This year we rebuilt the system. This included working with a new vendor to design and develop the entire environment, integrate with arena devices, design API’s for our consumers.• Prototyped a solution that successfully tracked all 10 active player, 3 referees & the ball during an Indiana Pacers game.• Multiple integrations in venue with all display devices, video boards, digital signage, etc.• Developed the live digital ingest & distribution workflows. These deliver 9 synchronized video streams to curators, who, along with automation, create content for NBA.com apps & social sites. We average 35 seconds to live on our apps & to consumers. Ingest delivers streams to partners via direct feeds & Akamai/AWS distribution. Over 50% of our content flows through our facility without human intervention.• Launched the conversion to digital by directing all aspects of software & hardware design through support for the new systems. All assets are immediately available worldwide via homegrown distribution algorithms for NBA TV, NBA.com, League Pass, Instant Replay, NBAE users & partners. We apply a "mobile first" practice, with a responsive web site & app suite coded in a mix of Java & .net, on Linux & Windows platforms. All sites are accessible via any device & exposed as services including; partial restore, streaming, transcoding & delivery.• Designed our solution to stream video angles for every live NBA game. These angles are frame synced to allow NBA staff to review all angles locally & present video to the in-game referees during Instant Replay. The content is also presented to fans via the NBA's Review web. This content also allows viewers around the world to watch as if they are in the arena during timeouts.

That concept lead to the system now installed in all arenas.Lead the design and development of the Statistics system. All events are distributed in real time to partners worldwide.• Designed the technology used to transport 12 angles of high res video from every arena. Staff reviews video locally and directs in-game referees during Instant Replay. This content is captured and stored in the archive, presented to fans.• Spurred the conversion to digital media by directing all aspects of software and hardware design, construction, implementation and management for the new environment. All assets are immediately available internationally for NBA TV, NBA.com, NBAE users and partners.
