Market Intelligence encompasses fundamental analysis of share price and market movements and the compilation of market updates for listed corporate clients. These updates include detailed trading/valuation information. The position also involves informing clients (contacts with management board and investor relations) on daily market/trading activities, and weekly presentations on market developments to the Corporate Finance group.

This position, initially at the Global Clients department (Amsterdam) and later at the Consumer Sector/Wholesale Clients department, involved assisting the Global Relationship Managers (Executive Director) with managing client relationships (throughout the network); provision of client information; business origination; planning and coordination of (Corporate Finance) deals; gathering, validating and analysing management information (e.g. revenues and costs) and client profitability; strategic planning/coordination and monitoring of management objectives; and management of the secretariat and archives. Clients at these departments were prominent Dutch multinationals in a variety of sectors. Highlights include participating in deal teams for multi-billion guilder acquisitions in the chemicals and telecom sectors.
