In this role, I oversaw the selection, implementation and migration of a Unified Storage Environment that serves as the foundation for Argo’s storage and backup environment. Throughout my tenure in this role I strived to improve the overall environment by leveraging new technologies and implementing process improvements to ensure a healthy environment in which our business could excel. My other duties included overseeing daily operations of our datacenter, CAB management and windows server support.Accomplishments •Architected and Implemented EMC VNX 5700, VPLEX and Data Domain solution •Implemented and leverage nexus O.S. and hardware to extend FCOE functionality to our VMware environment.•Implemented Data Domain into our backup TSM environment. •Consolidated five U.S. based datacenters into one central location, and was responsible for designing and validating technically strategy for migrating all data involved. •Worked hand-in-hand as the point of contact for the vast majority of vendors that interacted with the Infrastructure department (HP, CISCO, EMC). •Administered the storage environment on a daily basis utilizing Unisphere•Responded to and administered Windows Servers, both stand alone, VM and clustered (1,000+). •Daily operations and maintenance of: Tape Libraries, DataDomain, Server Hardware, NAS storage (Celerra) and Storage Arrays with over 400 Terabytes of Storage and back-up environment which consisted of EMC Avamar and Tivoli. •Designed and implemented HP Blade environment to meet the needs of each business line ranging from small one server applications, VMWARE clusters, and up to multi-chassis risk modeling environments. •Designed storage and infrastructure for a 100 seat VDI environment. •Designed and implemented CISCO MDS 9506 expansion to support additional storage hardware.
