As the on-site EMC Resident to gulfstream, I served as the primary technical point of contact supporting gulfstreams diverse eco-system of EMC productions and solutions. These include: VPLEX, VMAX, VNX and Isilon. I am directly responsible for not only bringing the on-site staff up to speed on the EMC technologies that are in the environment, but also take lead on issues and planning initiatives to support HCL and Gulfstream in the migration off of legacy hardware. • Assist and manage the migration from the Legacy NetApp arrays to EMC (VNX/VMAX, fronted by VPLEX) for the Windows, VMware and AIX environments• Documentation of standard processes and commands for the EMC environment. • Teach and train on-site staff on the EMC hardware and environment• Lead technical discussions on planning and objectives to move off of the legacy hardware

As the Sr. Systems Administrator for Argo Group International I was primarily responsible for the backup and storage environment across the enterprise. In this role, I oversaw the selection, implementation and migration of a Unified Storage Environment that serves as the foundation for Argo’s storage and backup environment. Throughout my tenure in this role I strived to improve the overall environment by leveraging new technologies and implementing process improvements to ensure a healthy environment in which our business could excel. My other duties included overseeing daily operations of our datacenter, CAB management and windows server support.Accomplishments •Architected and Implemented EMC VNX 5700, VPLEX and Data Domain solution •Implemented and leverage nexus O.S. and hardware to extend FCOE functionality to our VMware environment.•Implemented Data Domain into our backup TSM environment. •Consolidated five U.S. based datacenters into one central location, and was responsible for designing and validating technically strategy for migrating all data involved. •Worked hand-in-hand as the point of contact for the vast majority of vendors that interacted with the Infrastructure department (HP, CISCO, EMC). •Administered the storage environment on a daily basis utilizing Unisphere•Responded to and administered Windows Servers, both stand alone, VM and clustered (1,000+). •Daily operations and maintenance of: Tape Libraries, DataDomain, Server Hardware, NAS storage (Celerra) and Storage Arrays with over 400 Terabytes of Storage and back-up environment which consisted of EMC Avamar and Tivoli. •Designed and implemented HP Blade environment to meet the needs of each business line ranging from small one server applications, VMWARE clusters, and up to multi-chassis risk modeling environments. •Designed storage and infrastructure for a 100 seat VDI environment. •Designed and implemented CISCO MDS 9506 expansion to support additional storage hardware.

As Argo Group’s Sr. Client / Server Administrator I am responsible for the overall strategic vision / planning / implementation and overall operational management for all customer endpoints (Desktops, Laptops, Monitors and Printers) in our environment. From a strategic perspective, I have researched, designed and implemented enterprise level solutions that will help Argo to better manage our endpoints over the years to come while ensuring the solutions are both; scalable and economically efficient.
