The project takes systems from multiple countries and puts them on to a single platform resulting in increased management control and visibility, improved functionality and ease of use, and business process and technological standardization. Phase 1 of the project focused on the Germanic region, which consists of Germany, Austria, and Switzerland:As the International Gift Card Program Manager for GameStop, defined the gift card rollout plan and acted as the liaison between GameStop Business owners in Canada, Australia, and Europe; GameStop IT; and Comdata SVS, the gift card vendor. Issue identification and resolution, strategic planning, and communication skills were critical to this effort due to the number of constituencies involved.As the Project Manager for GameStop’s Information Technology Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) project, successfully delivered the project, meeting a very aggressive timeframe. The IT department had to produce all SOX-related documentation by their fiscal year-end, without exception, requiring quick staff and knowledge ramp-up. Responsibilities included staffing and leading the team, facilitating numerous working sessions, preparing for and leading twice-a-week status meetings, keeping both internal and external audit parties informed, and editing and reviewing all documentation produced alongside the Chief Information Officer (CIO).
