As an experienced accountant I specialise in providing a range of accountancy, taxation, support and guidance to businesses with particular interest in family owned businesses.On a daily basis, as an accountant within the family companies I advise on all matters which can include acquisitions and disposals which often involves the passing down to the next generation and management. Due to my close connection I act as executor to the family as the professional and family friend.Within my role as an accountant at George Hay, I have been and remain responsible for the development of the Letchworth office of George Hay from a small base to a leading firm of accountants in Hertfordshire.As a partner in George Hay I have considerable experience in dealing with the construction industry and all aspects of the Leisure industry which includes Hotels, Restaurants and Public Houses.Outside my role as an accountant I am a founder member of an investment club which has been trading in shares for over 2Oyears through some ‘interesting times’ in the market.I am also a Director of a local Housing and Investment company, together with a directorship of biz4Biz which aims to assist business and individuals in Hertfordshire.
