Keith Tunnell is an audit partner with extensive experience in the oil and gas exploration and development industry, financial reporting, and Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) reporting. Other industries he serves include oilfield services, manufacturing and distribution, and a variety of service industries. Keith has advised clients on complex accounting and financial reporting matters, merger and acquisition due diligence, the going public process, SOX compliance and a variety of other matters common to middle market companies, both public and private. Keith has worked with a number of private equity firms over the years in both the audit and merger and acquisition due diligence functions. Keith extensive knowledge of financial reporting rules and regulations are a reflection of his numerous experiences in the IPO process, mergers and acquisitions, private and public debt offerings and periodic reporting to the SEC. As a senior audit partner with the Firm, Keith serves as the engagement partner or the concurring partner of some the Firm’s largest and most complex audit engagements. In recent years, Keith’s clients have ranged in size from start-up enterprises to large middle market public companies. Keith has served on the management committee of the Firm and has led the Houston office of Hein for more than a decade. Keith is a member of the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG), the Independent Petroleum Association of America (IPAA), the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD), and the Houston Producers Forum (HPF). Before joining Hein in 1991, he was a senior audit manager for KPMG LLP.
