Responsible for management of Olsson Associates La Vista, NE Office and specifically the Geotechnical, Special Inspections and Laboratory Groups. I work directly with each team and managers assisting with projects, workload, staffing, financial performance and growth. Also responsible for developing local relationships and business within the A/E/C industry and to promote Olsson Associates as a whole.

Responsible for management and oversight of the Geotechnical, Laboratory and Special Inspection Groups that serve the Omaha area and surrounding markets. Daily activities include monitoring and managing a staff of approximately 20 to 30 people, marketing and business development of both new and existing clients, serving as a design engineer and resource for Geotechnical Explorations, providing engineering support on issues that arise during construction, oversight of our laboratory and maintaining AASHTO and USACE accreditations.Geotechnical capabilities include recommendations for commercial, industrial and/or agricultural facilities, small ‘Pad Ready’ sites, bridges, slope stability, seepage analyses, modular block retaining wall design, shoring and temporary works design, soil nail walls, deep foundations including ACIP, driven piles, drilled shafts, etc., lateral load analyses on deep foundations and pavement design.

Managed the Geotechnical Group in Kansas City. Responsibilties included managing day to day activities of a group of 5 to 10 people, financial performance of the group and marketing potentials for future work. Also provided engineering support for the Special Inspections group on issues that arose during constructions. In addition to management and engineering support, I conducted geotechnical explorations and design for a wide range of projects including dams, big box stores, small commercial development, retaining wall design, shoring and temporary works, slope stability and seepage analyses.

Worked as a field/laboratory technician responsible for soils, concrete, aggregate and asphalt testing in accordance with ASTM procedures. Responsible for managing daily concrete breaks and laboratory testing in order to meet engineering deadlines. Served as an assistant on a drill rigs for several environmental and geotechnical projects.
