 Recreation Intern (California State University, Chico) – Spring 2006 [budgeting, planning & policy meetings, reports, administrative input, fiscal responsibilities, public service anouncements, help develop new programs for the district, special events, communicate with the Chico Unified School District and local businesses, etc.] Junior High Program Director and Coach for Volleyball/Basketball - Teach children ages 10 to 18 the basic fundamentals of volleyball and basketball in a creative, fun but educational way. In charge of 14 teams and 20 coaches and staff, composed program pamphlets and instructional material; assist in hiring and training of staff, risk management, schedules, and contact person. Inform and update the Recreation Supervisor of all on-going activities, print out all materials handed out to parents, coaches, and participants, and making sure the website is kept current with any changes to game schedules or locations.  Supervisor – Enforce park and district regulations at site locations during hours of operation. Responsible for accident and maintenance reports that accurately convey information back to the Recreation Supervisor so he could take appropriate measures, recruit sponsors and personal donations for various CARD programs. Umpiring/refereeing – Officiate softball, volleyball and basketball games. This job requires skilled knowledge of the rules of each game and the ability to make sound decisions quickly and confidently.

I was a direct account manager with my sellers, answered any questions or issues with their accounts I made cold calls to new sellers, made appointments and introduced our products to the prospective sellers by doing live demos on web conferences. In charge of all the sports programs, recreation activity brochure, budgeting, scheduling of staff, hiring and training of staff, assigning officials and umpires, recruiting sponsors and partnerships for our programs and allocate activity locations. Coordinate and run the coaches and managers meetings and developing new programs for the community (Adult flag football, kickball and dodgeball). Took care of the ordering of supplies and equipment for our recreational activities- uniforms for staff and participants, trophies, rosters and registration and updating the weekly adult and youth sports standings and schedules for the binders and website. Writing up public service announcements and flyers.
