I am a results-driven change agent with 20+ years of project management and leadership experience. I currently work at the Center for Biological Diversity where I develop and execute advocacy and outreach initiatives that address the connections between reproductive health, gender equity, endless growth, inequitable consumption and the climate and extinction crises. Prior to that I worked at a community-based social marketing agency called Action Research and with the national nonprofit, American Forest Foundation. I spent 15 years working in recycling and waste reduction at the local, state and national levels. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Natural Resources from NC State and a master’s degree in public health from the University of South Florida. I am certified in project management, public health, social marketing, and family planning counseling. My work has been published in EcoWatch, Ms. Magazine, Journal of Extension, Journal of Population and Sustainability, Journal of Social Issues, Resource Recycling, Rewire, Social Marketing Quarterly, Sustainability Times and The Handbook of Persuasion and Social Marketing. I have presented at various state and national conferences throughout my career.
