From a young age, Kelley has been fascinated by how people inhabit and interact within cities and buildings. She is convinced that through thoughtful design, architecture can positively shift the way we live and behave. Kelley has spent over 20 years practising this theory, with her vast project experience across cultural, housing and education sectors both in Australia and abroad. Working for much of her career at Kerstin Thompson Architects (KTA), Kelley has been instrumental in the successful delivery of many award-winning projects including, most recently Balfe Park Lane (2022 AIA Vic Chapter Best Overend Award for Residential Architecture – Multiple Housing) and Clyde Creek Primary School (2022 Victorian School Design Awards, winner of Best Primary School Project). In her role of Director of Projects, Kelley became known for her tenacious advocacy of design integrity and her ability to have clients and stakeholders invested in the achievement of meaningful design outcomes. Most recently, Kelley has led a range of educational projects with a focus on pedagogical change, building student agency and connecting with community.
