After getting to know UICCU’s members well as an Account Executive for five years, I shifted my focus to a more specialized area of service as a Commercial Loan Assistant. I enjoyed learning more about this highly detailed area of financial service and supporting our members in realizing their dreams.My responsibilities included executing the loan-origination process, including ordering► Credit reports► Appraisals► Preliminary title reports► UCC searches► Environmental reports► Insurance information► Flood certificates.I also assisted senior-level credit officers with complex loan applications and contributed research to the process of gathering insurance information and flood certificates. Being part of a high-performing team gave me the confidence to continue trying and learning about new ways to make it possible for my customers to succeed no matter what their financial goals are.

With my transition to the University of Iowa Community Credit Union came the chance to expand my knowledge and service capabilities for a new client base.As an Account Executive, my responsibilities included►Analyzing loan applicants’ financial status, credit, and property evaluations to determine their best options►Informing members about our wide variety of loan products and credit options►Providing expert financial advice about home-equity, vehicle, and personal loans►Building relationships with prospective members►Maintaining productive relationships with current members.My accomplishments included★Exceeding my average loan goal of $485,000 per month in consumer loans for 2015 and 2016★Opening an average of more than 20 checking accounts each month from 2012–2016★Outperforming my credit-card balance transfer goal each year from 2012–2016The position was a good fit for me because of my efficiency in getting documentation organized and in the lenders’ hands in a timely fashion. Members appreciated the fact that they could rely on me to provide them with the information they needed it when they needed it most. Thanks to my dedication to service, I was able to generate a large number of new-member referrals from the families, friends, and coworkers of current members.

As Loan Operations Officer and Loan Processing Supervisor, I was given responsibility over a group of seven specialized professionals whose focus was on providing the highest standard of loan service for our customers. Our charge was to process and perform quality-control assessments for commercial, agricultural, and home-equity loans in addition to loan modifications and extensions. I hired a team of my choosing who I knew would value the confidentiality of sensitive bank records and client information that we would be handling regularly. To monitor our success, I created and updated reports on our productivity. My leadership style is still informed by the emphasis on collaboration, support, flexibility, and accountability in which this team of professionals thrived.
