The BP MS 150 was the largest fundraiser for MS in the world. In July 2000, I secured BP as the title sponsor and cultivated the relationship that continued through 2018. In 2015 and 2016, we raised $20+ million each year to help create a world free of MS. As Vice President, I engaged companies like BP, Anadarko, ExxonMobil, CGG and Gulf States Toyota in.

I was the revenue leader for Heart Walk in four Houston markets plus one Go Red for Women luncheon. The 2003 Northwest Harris County Heart Walk achieved 123% growth ($13,000 above goal) and the 2004 Montgomery County Heart Walk in The Woodlands grew 64% from $74,000 to $115,000. I resurrected the Kingwood/Humble Heart Walk in 2004 and met a $30,000 event.

As Director of TeamMS, I managed registration, fundraising and recruitment of more than 200 teams who participated in the BP MS 150. Developed a program designed to nurture and grow team participation and contributions which resulted in a 62% growth from 110 teams in 1999 to 178 teams in 2002. Over the same four year period, contributions raised by these.

After the announcement of the merger between Waste Management and USA Waste, I found an interesting opportunity to join the staff at the National MS Society on the bike team. As the Bike Tour Manager, I quickly learned all aspects of the MS 150 Houston to Austin including customer service, recruitment, team development, marketing, volunteers, logistics.

HCRC protects and enhances the environment through education, waste minimization practices and corporate responsibility. As volunteer leaders, we focused on identifying and promoting recycling industries and infrastructure in Texas that were working to make the Houston area a national leader for waste reduction, reuse and recycling. I managed a variety of daily operations and monitored the recycling hotline, advising residents on how and where to recycle. I took a special interest in representing the City at local and state environmental trade shows and fairs. I held leadership positions with the Houston Corporate Recycling Council and was a member of the Citizens Environmental.
