I operate the sound board during live performances. This includes controlling microphones as well as audio/visual effects. I ensure that actors are microphoned properly for optimal sound quality. I also help to maintain quality standards for the sound equipment used during these shows - microphones, transmitters, wires, cables, and speakers. I assist wit load in, set up, and load out of equipment for performances. The Daytripper is a Texas travel show encouraging Texans to explore the awesome adventures that exist right here in our very own state. History, culture, food, and outdoor activities in dozens of small towns across Texas.I started on the show as an intern, then worked my way up to Assistant Camera, and then onto my current position of running sound on set. My responsibilities include mixing audio on location with wireless mic, shotgun mics, and sound mixer, traveling across the state with the production crew, working long hours on set.
