Though my primary beat is music, the music industry and its many awards ceremonies, I cover a wide variety of topics including theme parks, film, entertainment breaking news and trends, industry diversity and inclusiveness, LGBTQ+ artists, pop culture, stand-up comedy, books, sports and more. I've also covered things like Universal Studios Hollywood's Halloween Horror Nights, the Venice Beach Freakshow, Ringling Bros. Circus' Clown College, WWE's SummerSlam and Nitro Circus.I have been with The Orange County Register since 2006 and while I've primarily served as an entertainment reporter for the print product and website, I also worked on several of our company's other products. I was a reporter for a weekly print entertainment and lifestyle magazine and website called SqueezeOC (2006-2008) and the music editor of the entertainment and lifestyle website, OrangeCounty.com (2010-2013). The Orange County Register became part of the Southern California News Group in 2016 and I have since written for all 11 SCNG print and online products.

I was responsible for all of the cashiers and floor staff on my shifts as well as hitting our sales goals for the day/night. I was part of a merchandising team to help push products based on our area and in charge of coming up with creative ways to throw midnight sales parties in our store. I also worked with talent that would come into our stores either just to shop or who were on hand for in-store appearances or performances. I also had a small role in the 2007 film "Borat," which was filmed at the Virgin Megastore in Orange. It's one of my proudest moments (sarcasm).In 2005, I was recognized with the Patrick Kelly Award for Employee of the Year for my work and dedication to constantly coming up with creative ways to market the Virgin Megastore brand.
