As a lifelong learner, and cybersecurity trainee at Springboard, I am mastering skills in systems security, network security, vulnerability and risk assessment, and ethical hacking. I have completed a certification in cybersecurity foundations and two courses in threat modeling and spoofing. I have also used tools such as Wireshark, Nessus, and Kali Linux to perform practical exercises and analyses.CAPSTONE PROJECTFor my capstone project, I conducted a penetration test for a fictitious company and created a threat assessment that included threats such as SQL injection, default password on Cisco administrator portal, cloud storage misconfigurations, and others. I drafted an executive summary for senior management and a detailed technical report for the client’s IT staff with vulnerabilities and key recommendations. I am passionate about cybersecurity and eager to apply my skills and knowledge to real-world challenges and opportunities.WHY CYBERSECURITYAs the surge of online scams and attacks against individuals and companies continues to grow, I understand the need for more online security and system hardening and have developed a strong passion for cybersecurity. I have especially developed an interest in network security, system hardening (implementing the NIST framework), and forensics.
