Responsible for influencing and supporting direction and function of telecommunications solutions. Recommends, designs and implements telecommunications, voice network technologies, call center technologies, and voice recording technologies. Responsible for hands-on configuration and support of Avaya voice switches across the enterprise. Programs, manages and configures Avaya communication manager switches.Responsible for configuration of least cost routing (ARS), trunk groups, dial plans, feature access codes, coverage paths, hunt groups, station features and other common phone system tasks. Works with other departments to complete communication projects on time and within budget.Travel to regional office to resolve technical telecommunication equipment problems.Prepares and manages the department budget; operates areas of responsibility within budget to ensure that services are operating at the highest level of availability and the lowest cost. This includes monthly audit of all telecommunication bills.Oversee existing and new contractors for maintenance service related to the telecommunications services.Ongoing development of corporate telecommunications Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity plans including risk assessment.Responsible for critical response for all related areas.
