I have been with the Barrie Police Service for the past 10 years and worked the G20 Summit in 2010 in a security capacity processing prisoners.My passion is baking and I manage a small baking business on the side: www.kel-liciousbakedgoods.comI also am a member in good standing with Georgian Bay Volunteer Search and Rescue. We train monthly, re-certify annually and assist police services with lost persons. Through both my policing and in my capacity of a certified searcher, I am CPR and CPR Wilderness trained and certified.My hobbies include working out, ice hockey, curling, karate, cooking, baking, and reading.In my previous career as an Administrative Assistant for a private Media Management company I paid out Talent on TV Commercials and did some commercial voice-overs for radio on the side. I also spent 8 years as an Office Manager for a family run horse trailer manufacturing business (McBride Trailers Inc.).I was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba and my education is Broadcast Journalism (college) and undergraduate studies (English major) at York University. I have appeared on National Television twice on the "Marilyn Denis Show" and was a Gold Ticket Finalist in the CBC reality food contest show, "Recipe to Riches" for my "Grandma's Orange Zest Cookies."I am altruistic and believe in the promotion of education and better healthcare, to achieve a higher standard of living for all. I am concerned about the preservation of the environment, and the humane treatment of animals.In terms of financial support on a regular basis, I support the Salvation Army, Toronto Children's Hospital and the Rio Del Cambio Project.
