The Partners in Health Contact Tracing Collaborative (CTC) was the public/private collaborative central to my state’s work to end the COVID-19 pandemic. The company applied the Partners in Health model of "accompaniment" to COVID-19 victims, supporting individuals and families through isolation and quarantine by engaging with socioeconomic blocks. In my role, I worked with a remote team in a remote office to support individuals and families with COVID get access to the care they needed to keep their families and communities safe and stop the spread. I helped investigate outbreaks, conducted contact tracing and worked with interpreters in many languages to assess needs. I rapidly gained fluency in Microsoft Teams, Salesforce and the Department of Public Health's confidential epidemiological database to conduct this work.

Nine Mountain Retreats is a transformational retreat center nestled in the foothills of the Berkshires in Western Massachusetts. As General Manager and Resident Caretaker, I lived at and cared for this unique rural property and its larger community web of relationships for five years, hosting a broad range of residential workshops, educational seminars, contemplative retreats, artist retreats and professional conferences. Events ranged in size from 10-150 participants, and from two days to two weeks in length. I hired and managed facility staff, oversaw year-round facility maintenance, chopped wood and carried water in this fully hands-on role. I also managed all event bookings, bookkeeping, business finances, permits and licenses.I purchased this business and property from its previous owners with a collective of 20 individuals. I spearheaded the creation of this group, worked with attorneys and tax consultants to form the appropriate legal entities and draft operating agreements, then worked as the administrator of the company's LLCs.

Hampshire College is a private liberal arts college known for spearheading alternative educational models, self-directed learning and the student body's progressive political activism.In my role, I designed and taught experiential courses on environmental activism, international legal systems and social justice, collaborating with local and national advocacy groups in my professional network. Over my three years at the College, I advised 40 upper-level students in their interdisciplinary self-directed studies and 20 final-year students in crafting and implementing year-long capstone projects.

Medical-Legal Partnership is a unique relationship between doctors and lawyers aimed at addressing social determinants of health by integrating legal advocacy in the clinical setting. The goal of MLP is to ensure that families’ basic needs – for food, housing, education, health care and stability – are met. Kaplan, O'Sullivan and Friedman was one of the most prominent immigration law firms in the United States, representing individuals in high profile deportation and asylum cases. Attorney O'Sullivan, my direct supervisor, left the firm to become a federal judge. The firm conducted a high volume of pro bono work for indigent client and was a leader in immigrant advocacy networks regionally and nationally.In my role, I prepared visa and immigration applications and managed cases of individuals and families in a wide range of immigration matters including asylum, family- and employment-based immigration petitions and deportation cases. This work often included conducting interviews with clients and documenting their personal stories, with assistance from interpreters. I also supported the attorneys with case preparation for hearings in immigration court and federal appellate courts.

Ran the famous off-grid, hike-in-only Lakes of the Clouds Hut on Mt. Washington in New Hampshire, with a team of seven fellow "croo" members. This was a high-energy role, hosting and cooking for 100 guests each night, hiking trash and recycling "out" up to the supply station on the summit of the mountain, and hiking food supplies back down. As the hut Naturalist, I also researched and presented short interpretative naturalist programs to guests on the alpine biome and weather systems.
