VOTE is a non-profit. member based organization formed to advocate for constitutional rights of formerly incarcerated individuals and to collaborate with other criminal justice reform organizations to reduce Louisiana's incarceration rate, which is the highest in the world. As Policy Coordinator, I work closely with key stakeholders to pass legislation/policies that are consistent with reform goals. I also assist in educating, organizing and leading members to advocate for policies by facilitating community meetings/forums, developing innovative learning opportunities, and spearheading local advocacy organizing/training.
