Kelly's lifelong passion for design took root in Tuscon, Arizona, where he watched his parents manage the design and construction of an architect designed passive solar home in a remote part of the Sonoran Desert. Early on, he immersed himself in psychology and design, eventually studying industrial design and human behavior. This journey paved the way for Kelly to found and build Blink UX, a highly successful product design consulting firm.Starting his career at E-Lab, a pioneering ethnographic research and design strategy firm, Kelly honed his skills in a methodology now widely recognized as “user experience design”. His expertise in UX furthered as he led user research for one of the first digital healthcare Software as a Service (SaaS) companies in the U.S., PHC. After PHC, Kelly joined Sitewerks and played a pivotal role in guiding pre-dotcom businesses, such as Microsoft, PACCAR, and WRQ, through the transition to the digital realm.In 2000, Kelly founded Blink UX, a multimillion-dollar, award-winning product design consulting firm that has shaped user experiences for industry leaders like Apple, Google, Amazon, Microsoft, NASA, Starbucks, Boeing, Nike, Disney, HBO, and many more. Accolades for Blink UX include recognition from Forbes Magazine, Inc. Magazine, the Puget Sound Business Journal, and others.Beyond his entrepreneurial pursuits, Kelly is an active angel investor and an educator, having served as an adjunct professor and lecturer at the University of Washington and Lake Washington Institute of Technology.
