About Kelly Galloway

Hi there, my name is Kelly Galloway! I am a female human (not a robot) who is passionate about learning from experience, helping others, entertainment, and making people smile. Over everything though, I am a leader. My entire life, I have been told I am a natural-born leader. And while yes, I may have natural leadership abilities, I have used my experiences to cultivate knowledge in leadership skills over time. I graduated from the University of Colorado, Boulder in May 2019 with a degree in Advertising, a minor in Entrepreneurship, a resume full of experience, and a handful of items crossed off my bucket list. In January, I had the incredible opportunity of interviewing for a graduate internship with FleishmanHillard, one of the biggest and best PR firms in the world. I got the position and started my internship at the Los Angeles office on February 4th, 2020. It has been an absolute honor and I truly have learned so much (seriously, it's insane how much I've learned - but I've loved every second).I don't know what the future holds, but I do know what I want to do: I want to use media, entertainment, and communications to bring positivity to this world. I believe every project I work on has the ability to connect with people on a deeper level - in such a way that sparks joy, yet remains authentic. And in doing this, if I can make someone smile, laugh, cry (good tears), feel warm inside, or have a positive thought for even a few seconds because of my work, I will truly feel successful. So, check out my website withkell.com or YouTube channel where I am trying to do this :) If you have any suggestions, advice, tips, questions, or just want to say hi, feel free to reach out to me here or email me at kelly.g.connect@gmail.com at any time. ✨🌈🌻🤩🎈🎶💃WANT A FREE COFFEE? HOW ABOUT ANY FREE BEVERAGE OF YOUR CHOICE???I love learning from others' experiences, so if you’d like to chat and tell me about your experiences, accomplishments, lessons you've learned, etc., you can use my business card as a coupon for a free drink from me!! A PDF of my business card/ the coupon is attached to my profile for you to use whenever you would like! Stay awesome :) And remember to always #DoYourGood (check my website to learn what that means lol).

Marketing, Design, And Public Relations Intern

Denver, Co

I was an intern for Jason Siegel, a lifestyle photographer specializing in the music and apparel industries. Scroll through his Instagram and you’ll be drawn in by the faces of music powerhouses sandwiched between commercial work with major lifestyle brands.@jsiegelphotographyhttps://www.jsiegelphotography.com/homeHired in December 2018, I helped with day-to-day functions including; scheduling, researching, booking spaces, conducting orders, phone calls, and emails, and much more. In March 2019, I helped run a panel discussion event on the creative process, featuring creatives throughout the music, fashion, photography, and design fields. The speakers included: Griz, Jason Siegel, Adam Vicarel, and Alyssa Wasko. The main reason I was hired was to take his project, SHOOT PORTRAITS NOT PEOPLE, to a higher level. SHOOT PORTRAITS NOT PEOPLE is an anti-violence sculptural campaign made entirely of recycled camera equipment. The sculptures have been sold at different galleries and installations, including Evoke Contemporary in Santa Fe, NM and BLK MKT in Aspen, CO.Jason and I spent about a month re-branding the entire thing, sitting in on meetings with other artists and collaborating on a new design. Once the rebranding was complete, I created an entirely new website, including new copy, interactive layouts, and the creation of a video animation for the homepage using Illustrator and After Effects. I run the social media accounts for the project, which you can check out on Instagram @shootportraitsnotpeople. A week after the launch of the project's Instagram, it gained over 1,000 followers and almost 60,000 impressions. Because of the social media presence, Jason received hundreds of messages with people interested in buying one of his sculptures and has dozens of print orders in place. I also worked on establishing new PR events/opportunities for SPNP to grow.

Team Member

Boulder, Co

I was part of CU Boulder's NSAC team!!! I was one of 18 students selected to work on the development of a real-world ad campaign, including research, strategy, creative work, budget, and media plan for Wienerschnitzel. This team operates like a real advertising agency and we compete with other college teams. On the team, I handled a lot of primary research for the project. I personally created a survey with almost 1,000 respondents and conducted over 20 one-on-one interviews. I individually shot and produced videos for the project including recaps of interviews and a mini commercial. I was also responsible for logistics and day-to-day operations. With the team, I helped with the generation of the strategy, campaign and its creative executions- especially with PR, video, and music-related executions. At the regional competition held on April 27th, 2019, I was in charge of coordinating the entire competition day for the 200+ guests, ensuring that everything went smooth from set up to clean up. I was also responsible for filming every team's presentations at the competition. Competing against six other universities at the regional competition, my team won with the best plans-book/strategy as well as the best creative execution!!!!

Chief Of Staff

Boulder, Colorado

With a budget of over $24 million, the University of Colorado has the most autonomous student government in the nation. Dealing with student fees, I was able to gain new perspectives and insights on how to better the campus for all students. I am honored to have represented 33,246 students at such a prestigious university and hope my work left an impact during my time as Chief of Staff. The opportunity improved my entire skillset immensely but has especially improved my skills in organization, communication, timeliness, and management. Some of my daily duties included the following:Managed 24 employees, overseeing all projects. Handled all office communication by sending out weekly newsletters, organizing OneDrive, updating office calendar, scheduling, running meetings, & reviewing documents.Hire, train and manage fifteen “Freshman Council” interns.Oversee all CUSG activity, while helping manage and fund projects with a $24 million budget.Maintain a healthy office environment which includes planning retreats, activities, and workshops for staff. There are many other duties and tasks that I handled, but overall, the best part of my position was the change for the good. I was able to assist in REAL change on campus, whether it be through a new legislative bill or even a campus event. The University of Colorado Student Government continues to do everything in its power to change and improve the student experience, and the university as a whole--- and I am so lucky to have been a part of it.
