I oversee enrollment and community outreach strategy for California charter school clients by leading a team of enrollment and outreach professionals and through collaboration with school leaders and a digital marketing team. I also support Propel's growth by developing new client acquisition strategies and processes.

I taught beginning English to over 600 students in over 4500 half-hour online classes. I earned the TESOL-VIPKid Foundational Certification and received over 2,700 "5-apple" reviews for my teaching from parents.

I led a multi-state team of 18 enrollment professionals to help families and students find success at charter schools operated by Opportunities for Learning, Options for Youth, and Pathways in Education. The company restructured and I transitioned into my current organization, Propel, where I continue to serve OFL and OFY in California.

I led a team of educators and support staff to serve middle and high school students in a unique 1-to-1 learning environment.

At DeVry University, I led a team of admissions advisors and community outreach colleagues to help students make education and career decisions. My work specifically focused on strategy and team development. As the industry experienced contraction due to regulatory changes, I built a strong culture to help my team remain positive and focused on our core mission of helping students change their lives. Despite the hurdles, our team was third in the university for the 2016 fiscal year versus our enrollment budget.

I led DVU's outreach team for Long Beach and Anaheim which targeted high schools, community colleges, and corporations to grow our relationships and leads in the South L.A. and Orange County area. I also planned and executed the "Her World" event which encouraged high school girls to pursue STEM education and careers. This involved networking with industry groups to secure women from STEM industries to speak and present at the event and planning all other event logistics.

Working in the Academics Department, I reached out to students who were no longer attending school and encouraged them to return and complete their program. I successfully helped 10 to 15 students every month navigate the appeal and financial aid process in order to complete their diplomas or certificates.

I consulted for an international online tutoring company that was expanding into the test preparation market. I worked with them to find the right program packaging and local marketing strategy to launch this new part of the company. Also during this time, I copy-edited a Systematic Theology book for use in international mission work and I assisted other professionals with their resumes and job search.

A major restructure at Kaplan Test Prep moved me from focusing on four business silos to one. So I developed higher level service for our physician-students as they prepared for their medical board exams. I developed and led a weekly conversational English class for our foreign medical graduates. I also adapted Kaplan's stand-alone service presentations about medical residency placement to a regular series that combined lectures with workshops and one-on-one attention. On the business side, I organized and managed the transition of a program from operating in San Jose to operating in Pasadena. This involved transitioning out over 50 Bay Area employees, hiring approximately 50 employees in Southern CA, and moving our classroom supplies and furniture. This transition required coordination with corporate HR and real estate teams. For the 2011 fiscal year, we were the top-performing location in Kaplan Test Prep's Medical Division.

The location mixes shifted over time, but for the last two years, I worked with the leaders of all four of these centers. Together we consistently were at the top of our region for customer service and academic quality measures. In addition, our locations built a more balanced business mix than other locations that were more invested in one of our four business silos. Personally, I gained experience in analyzing team structure and finding the optimal alignments for service and efficiency. I also was made a "black belt" presenter, handling head-to-head marketing presentations for graduate prep programs on college campuses.

My return to the Encino location was real estate heavy as we remodeled. However, we improved our service and academic metrics despite the construction. I also was the DSO, handling all of the compliance issues and paperwork for our international students.

My year in Texas allowed me to support centers in five states and Mexico with operational and academic management guidance. As a region, we exceeded our financial, academic and service goals for the year. In addition, I acted as interim Center Director for the Lubbock and New Orleans locations when they went through leadership transitions.

Starting as a Center Manager at Kaplan, I was empowered to restructure the management team. I installed an operations manager to focus on service and logistics, and an academic manager to oversee teacher quality. I owned the marketing for all four silos of business--high school, college, nursing and medical. I was able to establish marketing partnerships with Pepperdine's Alumni Association and CSUN's Career Services department. In 2003, we grew our revenue 47% with growth in all silos; we also exceeded our service and academic rating goals.

My focus was to hire and manage faculty for business and technology programs in the evening. I conducted regular teaching observations and created the course offering schedules for each semester. To help develop all faculty, I started a teaching newsletter addressing classroom and teaching best practices. I also taught a freshman level study skills and critical thinking course each semester.
