In charge of all the Marketing and Fundraising for the charity. I plan, create and deliver traditional and digital marketing - including campaigns, positive PR, engaging content and printed materials - to raise the charity’s profile and attract people to live and work in our care homes and day hubs in Gloucestershire. I also manage Fundraising to raise money to support those who can't afford their own care. Key achievements include: - Increased fundraising from £47,000 in 2019 to £123,000 in 2021, through campaigns which raise awareness of the charity, inform people about why we need support and inspire people to do so. - Increased occupancy of the five care homes’ from 88% in 2019 to 95% – high above industry average. - Increased the charity’s social media following by 65% across Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. Through improving the content with engaging, visually attractive, on trend and shareable posts and adverts. - Contributed to a significant rise in website visits by 123%, improving SEO, adverts, news and content.- I'm particularly proud of the fantastic TV coverage I've achieve on BBC, ITV and Channel 4. Including features on positive stories about 2021 football, Robots, residents’ sports days, Trishaw bike, school children’s letters to residents and firsts with Covid vaccinations. My role was to raise money through marketing and by creating partnerships with organisations that want to support nurses, midwifes and health care assistants. Covering maternity leave, I spent a year as the Community Marketing & Fundraising Manager at Leckhampton Court hospice, covering a maternity leave. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at this lovely local charity and hospice - working alongside inspiring staff, volunteers and supporters. During my year covering a person on maternity leave, I worked hard to make a difference. Increased awareness of Sue Ryder's hospice care, through marketing. Raising the profile of the charity and inspiring support across Gloucestershire. Organising and delivering marketing through; social media, press releases, radio interviews, exhibitions, events, presentations, networking, social media, printed adverts, newspaper and magazine advertising.I generated much needed fundraising to cover the costs of the hospice care. As a team we exceeded our fundraising target of £800,000 by achieving £892,696. Secured free space for an articles and advertising in Cotswold publications. Built new relationships with local companies and groups, including charity of the year partnerships. Inspired local individuals to raise money by entering the charity's events, or organising their own. Created a hospice volunteer fundraising group - which are continuing to make a huge impact in running their own fundraising events and activities. I also instigated the new Cheltenham Half Marathon Sue Ryder Run Club - also entering myself and raising £800! Managed two community fundraisers to deliver their events and community fundraising. Empowering and supporting them with their work projects and personal development.

Key achievements at CRUK:Marketing delivered: 8 years promoting the charity, recruiting participants and generating fundraising. i.e. Social media, radio interviews, press releases, advertising, PR stunts (lighting up the Gloucester Cathedral), staging street flash mobs (featured on YouTube) and free stands at profile events (Gold Cup Festival). Fundraising: over 8 years I successfully recruited 130,000 participants and fundraised £7 million for CRUK. Event delivery: I personally planned, managed, marketed and delivered over my 8 years, 60 events, in 4 regions (Wales, Midlands, South West & Oxfordshire), across 24 venues - with my largest event at Cardiff Bute Park with 7500 participants. Variety of event: Race for Life, Tough10, March on Cancer, Run 10k, Twilight and assisted with SHINE and Race 4 Men events. Was chosen for the CRUK talent development programme - including a presentation to the Chief Finance Officer and stake holders a review of CRUK internal business case process for change. Received multiple awards – 2012 ‘Most ambitious and innovative Area Event Manager nationally’, 2014 for being creative and bold by asking the Chief Executive to be involved in a local PR stunt and a team award in 2016.
