I am working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Intelligence Studies at Mercyhurst University, as well as, a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Psychology. Through this program, I have developed skills in intelligence gathering, writing, and presenting. During the summer of 2014, I had the opportunity to intern with the Drug Enforcement Administration, New Jersey Division, working with the High Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas Intelligence unit. I also assisted and shadowed other groups such as the diversion, asset forfeiture, task force officers, and special agents in their investigations. I have also auditing Top Gun, a course in Bergen County, NJ, instructing on surveillance principles, raid planning and execution, and intelligence and tactical considerations in street operations. Interning at the Business Integrity Commission I was able to demonstrate my ability to conduct depositions, as well as, establish and maintain contact with counterparts in other federal intelligence organizations in order to collaborate information. I also have a certification from the New York/New Jersey HIDTA from a course on internet and social networking intelligence and investigation. I have been recognized as an outstanding mentor who enjoys supporting others, demonstrating a lead-by-example approach whilst working as a team to ensure a unified solution. I have honed these skills through being part of the US Army Reserves, volunteering with the American Cancer Society, Habitat for Humanity, and a becoming Scholar of Community Learning and Engagement. My ability to manage a full academic schedule while maintaining a 3.6 GPA, being part of both Mercyhurst’s basketball and volleyball teams, as well as, being the tutor for the football team, demonstrates my skills in time management, leadership, and makes me a valuable asset to a position that is goal and deadline oriented.
