My duties are to assist my kitchen manager with food preparation and service alongside thoroughly cleaning down our kitchen space and equipment daily. I assist with stock intake and stock rotation including handling deliveries. All food handling procedures are followed as my training dictates to adhere to the correct health and safety practises to be used within the kitchen environment. It is vital to serve service users with a positive attitude.

I provided various degrees of personal care to a wide spectrum of service users, from elderly men and women to disabled teenagers. My position required me to speak effectively and listen attentively to service users and provide anything and everything they may need. It was my responsibility to fill out care plans clearly after gathering appropriate information and provide feedback to my main office when required. Administer medication as directed from pharmacies for each service user. Assist with personal care. Manage equipment effectively and correctly in support of service users needs. I am supportive, understanding and sensitive to people and their personal situations. I provided counsel and comfort to my service users and I was confident in doing so. I worked to a very strict time schedule and successfully managed my workload.

It was up to me to make sure the two restaurants within the hotel and occasionally the bar ran smoothly throughout the day. I openly expressed ideas that I felt could change the effectiveness of the restaurants, set goals and met my deadlines with ease. I was confident to provide well-thought out solutions for any unhappy customers and directly manage any conflict. I effectively delegated responsibility amongst my staff and myself, enforced policies, took charge when needed but remained a member of my team whilst directing and motivating others.
