About Kelsey Richardson

I am passionate about the health and well being of our ocean planet, and am looking for a career that will allow me to apply this passion toward meaningful work. I have extensive experience working on international marine conservation issues, including particularly pollution and fisheries management in small island developing states. I recently completed my PhD research around global amounts, causes and prevention measures for abandoned, lost or otherwise discarded fishing gear (ALDFG) at the University of Tasmania, in collaboration with Australia's Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation. I also have a MA in International Environmental Policy, with a focus in Ocean and Coastal Resource Management from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey; and a Bachelor of Science in Conservation Resource Studies, with an emphasis in Marine Conservation, from the University of California, Berkeley.
