Marine Plastic Solutions is a boutique environmental consultancy that strives to tackle the plastics problem in an interdisciplinary manner, that prioritises sustainability and best practice, whilst also addressing cross-cutting issues such as poverty, education and gender equity. The MPS team has worked on waste and related projects across the globe with an extensive range of partners including the UN, the World Bank, the EU, the governments of Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom, as well as the Universities of Monash and Newcastle (Australia). Current projects include a Monash University funded review of Norfolk Island's waste management systems, World Bank projects in the Caribbean (Marine Plastics Debris Sources Deep Dive Study for selected Eastern Caribbean countries) and Samoa (Healthcare Waste Strategy Implementation), EU projects in Tuvalu (EDF 11 Sustainable Waste Programme) Australian Government projects in the Solomon Islands (Strongim Bisnis Waste Market Systems Assessment) and new circular economy initiatives with the private sector (ANZPAC Plastic Pact).
