The establishment of Eco Profit in 2009 was based on the proposition that reducing carbon emissions globally depends on a proactive commercial sector that recognises that future profitability and sustainability are intricately linked to the state of the environment. The name Eco Profit symbolises this connection. The objective of Eco Profit is to show corporate clients how to adapt their operations to survive and succeed in a climate-changing world by developing carbon management systems that are innovative and flexible. Most importantly, we want our clients to not only be able to reduce their carbon emissions, but to contribute to the enhancement of the environment as a direct result of their operations. This entails the adoption of a quadruple bottom line approach of environment, social benefit, economic equity, and governance construct. The carbon industry is growing exponentially as climate-related financial disclosure and net-zero target setting accelerate throughout the commercial sector. Lagging behind is the development of education that simplifies the processes needed to address climate risk and identify new carbon-related business opportunities. There is also a glaring deficiency in strategic management systems designed for corporations to adapt to a carbon-constrained world. Recognising this, Eco Profit provides a range of services that allow clients to develop mitigation and adaptation strategies to address climate change including education, carbon & energy audits guidance, carbon reduction plans, strategic carbon management system design, carbon offset acquisition/project development, and climate risk identification.
