I currently hold a Masters of Science in STEM Education, with an emphasis in Computer Science at Boise State University, having graduated Summa Cum Laude with a GPA of 4.0. I also hold a Bachelors of Science in Mathematics from Lewis-Clark State College (LCSC), having graduated cum laude with a GPA of 3.753. I have eleven years of experience teaching STEM, including math from Pre-Algebra thru AP Dual Credit Calculus, Dual Credit Computer Science, and other STEM elective courses. With the vast growth of STEM in Idaho, I have taken every opportunity that I can to get involved. I have developed a Computer Science and STEM program at the high school level. I have attended many curriculum training seminars, STEM education conferences, and sat on Idaho State Department curriculum and standards review panels. I have experience with curriculum development, online teaching, college and career enrichment, and presenting to groups. I have worked closely with Micron, STEM Bus USA, BSU, Idaho Power, ABB Robotics, House of Design, Warhawk Air Museum, Idaho Public Television, and GenCyber to educate students of all ages on every aspect of STEM education. I have also had the opportunity to hold summer internships within the industry with House of Design, a robotics integration engineering firm (evaluating and critiquing their inhouse training program) and Warhawk Air Museum (developing and teaching STEM summer camps highlighting museum artifacts). In the summer of 2007, I took the opportunity to travel to the Blue Mountain region of Jamaica, where I taught fourth and fifth grade students in a rural school.
