An Airline Pilot, former Naval Aviator, lifelong learner, recreational athlete, and resilient Marine veteran who cares. I love flying! But that’s only part of the story.Across my first career as a single-seat Marine AV-8B Harrier jet pilot, flying combat missions and shipboard sorties around the world, I had the privilege of leading and teaching junior combat wingmen. I gained expertise inspiring, training, and enthusiastically developing Marines in operations, administration, and safety departments while attaining technical and tactical aviation expertise. I am now proud to be a First Officer with FedEx Express, flying lots of boxes (and hopefully a horse or panda or two) around the earth.…and now for the fun stuff:I love to sing, but generally only for charity events (for free) or at a weekly karaoke night where I can work a crowd. CrossFit and competitive exercising have been my focus for a decade, but I’m trying to return to my former endurance athlete status by swimming, cycling, and running on layovers all around the world. My large fluffy 95-pound dog thinks he’s a cat, and my rescue cat walks on a leash and thinks she’s a dog. I love to read - but also spend lots of time on the move - so I pretend listening to audiobooks is still “reading.” I enjoy lifting, snowboarding, paddle boarding, hiking, biking, singing, storytelling, woodworking, landscaping, camping, backpacking, and learning (and speaking!) new languages.
