The BIRCh Project is housed at both UMass Boston and UMass Amherst, two of the state-sponsored, public research universities, to address the varying needs across the Commonwealth. The resource center at the UMass campuses draws on the expertise of the state universities and enhances the capacity of public schools to efficiently integrate behavioral health supports. - Contributes to research on social-emotional curricula across diverse school settings.- Actively researches culturally-relevant and socially-just educationally practices to improve support for marginalized communities of students (students of color, students with disabilities, students that identify as LGBTQIA+)- Participates in parent training project on addressing challenging behaviors throughout the Western Massachusetts community. - Assists in conducting positive behavioral support program evaluations in local school districts.- Collects and analyzes data for preparation of reports and documents for grant applications and research conferences.

- Encouraging active participation in learning. - Interpreting students' needs from subtle expressions of sound, physical orientation, gesture and facial expression and seeking means to communicate their needs.- Supporting learning activities, mobility, communication and personal care with students throughout the day, often using assistive technology and adaptive equipment.

• Assisting B.C.B.A, clinical team and family with in-home applied behavioral analysis techniques for client’s diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder.• Improving client’s independent ability to perform daily living skills and socially appropriate behaviors.• Developing client’s verbal/non-verbal communication skills.

- Administer and resolve all client inquiries for variety of health center services of the behavioral, dental and medical variety - Provide response to all incoming telephone queries received from customers in timely and professional manner.- Inform and connect clients with appropriate health resources available

To provide a safe, orderly and nurturing living experience for children with emotional, behavioral, psychiatric needs in care at the diversionary setting/ specialized residential treatment facility, day school and congregate care programs. Ensure that goals/objectives of each child's individualized service plan are implemented as part of the daily activities. Documentation of each client’s response to care.

• Supervised weekly groups of 25-35 children from 4-12 years old • Remodeled camp invoice spreadsheets, budget plans, payment record system, and registration forms • Coordinated field trip opportunities • Trained counselor and junior counselor staff in daily camp responsibilities• Facilitated daily camp team building activities, arts and crafts projects and martial arts lessons
