I am an adaptable Systems Analyst / Designer and programmer who is driven by the desire to help companies maximise business benefits from the application of effective computer solutions. I specialise on the IBM i platform (known also as AS400, System i or these days as IBMi on Power Systems).Working with businesses of diverse sizes and types across an industries such as Manufacturing, Pharmaceutical, Retailing and Telecoms, the systems worked upon are typically used for Material Control, Sales Orders, Purchasing, Accounting, Manufacturing, and Business Intelligence Statistics (amongst other functions).I have extensive experience with the ERP Movex (now Lawson’s M3 ERP - similar to SAP, BPCS, BAAN, JD Edwards etc) and have been involved with many Movex projects from implementations to day-to-day support of established installations. Involvement includes assisting new adopters to map their business processes to the system, as well as specifying and producing new, integrated subsystems.I have also been heavily involved with developing and maintaining other systems including ICMS, DMS, Prism and Coda. Along the way, I have gained valuable experience with numerous utilities such as Intercept/400 (EDI); Turnover, Implementor, Aldon (change control); Robot (job scheduler), and many more.I have extensive experience programming in RPG and CL on IBM i, as well as with complementary software such as StreamServe. I maintain a keen interest in constantly learning and applying the latest technologies.
