Born out of the now-defunct DIY-music venue/gallery Death By Audio in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, DBAA is a group of game designers making indie arcade machines in NYC. Each machine is a unique game created by a local designer (or small team) with a skew towards local-multiplayer games. Our permanent home is at Wonderville in Brooklyn, and we bring a rotating cast of both traditional arcade machines and unique controller/hardware-specific games to museums and festivals around the world.My game Nest (https://www.deathbyaudioarcade.com/nest) was one of the first games featured at the old Death By Audio space in Williamsburg in 2014 and the Nest arcade cabinet has travelled from art galleries in Bushwick to the Museum of Moving Image in Queens to the Smithsonian Museum in Washington DC.
