Ken Brewer is a Weather / Traffic Integration Specialist at Baron Services. Prior, Ken was a Meteorologist and Weather Executive Producer for WISH-TV from October of 2000 to March of 2018. Ken began his broadcast career as a meteorologist for WFOR-TV, the CBS affiliate in Miami, where he was extensively involved in forecasting and covering the active 1996 hurricane season. For nearly ten years, Ken studied, reported, forecasted, and experienced Florida's often severe and volatile weather conditions, from its northern to southern borders.He later joined WCTV, the CBS affiliate, in Tallahassee as a meteorologist/reporter, where he worked for the next three years. His severe weather experience in northern Florida includes anchoring as Hurricane Earl made landfall in 1998, and LIVE coverage of the F-3 tornadoes that hit his station's coverage area in February 2000. He also broadcasted live from the eyewall of Hurricane Frances for WISH-TV in 2004Ken holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Meteorology from Florida State University. He received his AMS Seal of Approval in 1998. Ken is an active member of the central Indiana chapter of the American Meteorological Society, where he served as Vice-President and President, and currently serves as Secretary.Ken received a 2010 Spectrum Award from the Indiana Broadcasters Association as a part of the Forecast 8 Storm Trackers coverage of Flash Flooding in June.
