As a Shop Manager for a high volume Stewarts Shop, my responsibilities include oversite for the overall operations of the site including; inventory, ordering of gasoline and grocery products, audits of stock and deposits, reconciliation of daily and monthly receipts, display and set up of merchandise and promotional items. I am also responsible for Managing a food-to-go program which includes making fresh breakfast and Lunch.

I was responsible for the overall operations of 18 company owned and operated sites in Upstate NY (Buffalo-Albany) and Western Massachusetts. These responsibilities include pricing determination for both gasoline and convenience store products, cash and inventory control, store procedures for reporting daily information and creation and implementation of the monthly audit system. In this role I was also responsible for the 18 Dealer Operated Sites throughout Upstate NY and Massachusetts; this territory included locations on the New York State Thruway. Much of this responsibility included meeting regularly with each dealer to ensure that they were performing up to company standards, maintaining relationships, and coaching to improve business. It also included ongoing recruitment of new Dealers. As a contact for Lehigh Gas with the NYS Thruway Authority, I interfaced regularly with the Authority to ensure that our sites were following the additional regulations required by the Thruway and NYS DEC.

As a manager of gas and convenient stores for ExxonMobil, I was responsible for the overall operations of the sites including; inventory, ordering of gasoline and grocery products, audits of stock and deposits, reconciliation of daily and monthly receipts, display and set up of merchandise and promotional items. I also managed a staff of 7, including all aspects of human resources; i.e. recruiting, training, scheduling, dismissals, promotions and providing weekly payroll. Additionally, I was responsible for maintaining relationships with both the vendors and the customers. In addition, as a Trainer for Upstate New York, I trained new managerial employees and franchisees on daily station operations. I also served on special ‘teams’ where I was instrumental in the set up and training for newly acquired sites and implementation of special programs and promotions.
