Profile bio

About Ken Dancer

Innovation and process improvement are important. An organization should not get stuck in the “that’s the way we’ve always done it” mentality. However, it’s inadvisable to make change for the sake of change itself and not take the time to assess why you are doing it and how it will impact the long-term goals of the organization. Throughout my career in the Air Force, I focused on finding ways to make improvements to processes and operations while always keeping in mind the root cause of the issue that needs to be changed. As Christopher Paolini says, “change itself is neither good or bad, but knowledge is always useful.” Pursuing this knowledge and understanding the why behind the change is where my analytical skills come in. I am known for thinking out of the box when finding solutions, but I am also recognized as the voice of reason who can see both the fine details of the situation and the big picture implications of new processes. I have retired after a distinguished 21 year Air Force career.
