Ken has enjoyed a career spanning the last 19+ years in the marketing communications, PR and sustainability industry. A period within which he founded WhiteHousePR (Formerly TruContact), and TruCSR Nigeria- A CSR and Sustainability focused consultancy in 2006. He has worked as a consultant to several A-list organisations, as well as SMEs within Nigeria, and Africa. He is considered one of Nigeria’s thought leaders in CSR/ Sustainability.He founded 'The SERAS CSR Awards Africa'- the prime CSR sustainability recognition in Africa for CSR and sustainability interventions by corporates and NGOs. The SERAS has had 17 highly successful cycles and featured participation from 32 countries in Africa and has become a key driver for CSR and sustainability on the continent. He was recognised and listed in Assent Global’s 2018 Top 100 Influence Leaders in CSR and Sustainability. He is a highly sought speaker, trainer and a respected voice on issues around Sustainability, Public Relations, Communications and Ethical Marketing.In 2014, he served as Special Adviser, on Strategic Planning by the government of Cross River State, Nigeria, under the leadership of Governor Liyel Imoke.In September 2019, he was a speaker at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), where he was invited to showcase best practices from Africa's CSR/Sustainability space to global political and industry leaders. He was also presiding judge at the UNGA SDG Pioneers Awards organised by the Journalists and Writers Foundation (JWF), featuring participation from 110 countries worldwide.In March 2023, he was featured in The Economist 'The World Ahead 2023' for his work in the promotion of social enterprise and sustainability in Africa.He is a founding fellow and member of the board of trustees of the Sustainability Professionals Institute of Nigeria (SPIN), where he also heads the directorate for events and programs.He publishes 'The Social Enterprise Report (TSER)', and 'The Good Magazine (TGM)', both dedicated to highlighting and promoting CSR and Sustainability in Nigeria and Africa. He holds a degree in public relations, and a post-graduate degree in marketing from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and also a master’s degree in marketing communications from the School of Media and Communications, Pan Atlantic University, Lagos.
