TruCSR carried out what many have come to describe as trail-blazing spadework that led to the rapid growth of what has become a vibrant and viable corporate social responsibility and sustainability industry in Nigeria. We achieved this by providing the first sets of world-class training for budding sustainability professionals in Nigeria. The organizations' credit that approximately 50 percent of first-generation decision-makers in Nigeria's CSR and sustainability sector were graduates of its CSR academy. At TruCSR, we know for a certainty that the paradigms have shifted regarding how the business world operates and how these seismic shifts affect and alters the future of our world as we knew it. We believe that the panacea to ending extreme poverty in Africa is to enable sustained economic growth, which would, in turn, create opportunities for advancement and promotion of the positive values we believe in. The way to actualize the future we crave is by partnering and working with brands and organizations in creating a more sustainable world that focuses on more than resource constraints and reminds these brands and organizations of their crucial responsibility as aspirational role models for their various publics. There are no guaranteed gains without social capital. It is through social capital that actual values or profits grow. We seek to help organizations navigate this threshold that stands between their brands/ organizations and distinctive innovations and finding your brands/organizations' inner sanctum. We agree completely with American Sociologist and Professor at Harvard Business School, Rosabeth Moss Kanter, when she says "A vision is not just a picture of what could be; it is an appeal to our better selves, a call to become something more." Our vision is to help our clients see themselves as more than profits, size star and brand power.
