Ken Fox was active in the industrial marketplace for over 30 years, working with 3 of the major vendors Honeywell, Invensys (now part of Schneider Electric) and for the last 5 years ABB. The bulk of his experience has been in the Oil & Gas sector, both upstream and downstream. The early part of his career was as a practising engineer, installing and commissioning major control systems in a number of geographies across the industrial spectrum particularly in refineries, petrochemical plants and a wide range of oil and gas facilities both onshore and offshore.He spent over 17 years based in Belgium, initially leading Honeywell’s pan EMEA Oil & Gas marketing team, migrating to heading the strategic marketing team covering all industrial markets. A period with the Invensys Controls business was followed by leading their global Oil & Gas marketing team, during which time he moved to the Middle East to focus on capturing the significant growth opportunities that exist in the region.His most recent role with ABB as SVP Sales (India, Middle East and Africa) in the Power Systems division, provided the opportunity to build sales teams focused on the added value software space segments, particulalry workforce management, safety systems, and energy management primarily in energy intensive industries such as metals processing, utility power distribution and oil and gas facilities.A Chartered Engineer with an instrumentation, electrical and electronic engineering background, he is a member of the Institute of Measurement & Control and served on several Institute committees, including chairing the London Section. He is a strong supporter of learning and development programs for young engineers, particularly in the emerging economies and has links with several educational institutes that focus on engineering disciplines. He has now relocated back to the UK after twelve years in the UAE
