I have enjoyed the benefits of being with my family (wife and two daughters) and having more time to involve myself in their activities because I have no commute. I've also learned it can be hard to be isolated from the team and water-cooler talk. To help fill the void of working in an office I have found a great balance of volunteer activities and other ventures. I have been the president of a preschool board of directors for over four years where we have not only been able to provide a successful first school experience for students but also have expanded to a second classroom and grown our family. I've also enjoyed success as a ride-share driver where I have over a 4.95 rating.
