The best exchanges are the ones where both parties are satisfied and experience value. This is something I've applied to all my relationships throughout my career. When working with teammates to meet a deadline or a client to finish a project I'm always asking what I can do to make their experience the best possible. There is no better feeling than working with my coworkers to solve a problem or conquer a challenge. Meeting and exceeding clients expectations are equally as rewarding.I've been able to telecommute for over a decade and during this time I've learned many important things about myself. I have enjoyed the benefits of being with my family (wife and two daughters) and having more time to involve myself in their activities because I have no commute. I've also learned it can be hard to be isolated from the team and water-cooler talk. To help fill the void of working in an office I have found a great balance of volunteer activities and other ventures. I have been the president of a preschool board of directors for over four years where we have not only been able to provide a successful first school experience for students but also have expanded to a second classroom and grown our family. I've also enjoyed success as a ride-share driver where I have over a 4.95 rating.
