As an architect I believe it is as important to listen as it is to create. With over 30 years of experience I have had the opportunity to be involved with almost every project type. I started out my career focusing on high end residential and medical facilities in the Los Angeles area. I moved to Southern Oregon over 25 years ago and joined a well established firm, as a partner, that focused on educational, medical and other institutional projects while still keeping my hand in residential design. This firm evolved to become Ogden Roemer Wilkerson Architecture, or more frequently referred to as ORW, the largest architectural firm in Southern Oregon. In January of 2017, I retired from ORW and am now re-establishing my residential practice. My current work area includes, Southern Oregon, Northern California, Los Angeles and Seattle.Early in my career, I learned that no project is too small. After taking on a patio cover project for a client, he was so pleased with the work i did for him, he later awarded me the design of his corporate headquarters, two new residences and a restaurant. My career then catapulted with the referrals he generated. I hold on to this philosophy today, I treat every project with the same attention and respect. My best marketing has always been referrals and word of mouth. While my area of expertise while at ORW was focused on marketing and client development, I also excelled in and enjoyed up front programming, space planning and facility studies. Today my career has afforded me the opportunity to take on work for the pleasure rather than the necessity. I look forward to the rewarding and satisfying relationships established by creating wonderful homes for my clients.
